Did You Forget?

This Page is dedicated

in loving memory

to my mom,

Lottie Penc Kaczor,

who never forgot....

poem by Jean K. McManus

Did you forget to laugh today?

Did you forget to smile?

And lighten someone's troubles

Even for a little while?

Did you forget to sing today?

And let your whole world ring

With a deeply felt expression

Of your joy in everything?

Did you forget to walk today

In someone else's shoes?

To revel in their happiness

And understand their blues?

Did you forget to work today?

To lend a helping hand

'Cause someone else's project

Was much bigger than they planned?

Well, if you did forget these things

(We all do, now and then)

There's always a tomorrow

For remembering again...

This poem was one of my mom's favorities. She had it taped to her refrigerator, and I have the same yellowed page taped to mine. Here it is to share with you and yours.. Please send this on to everyone you know.
